Altering, painting, drawing, and printing on used garments imbues formerly discarded human shells with new life. The cyclical nature of these metamorphosed pieces nods to both the fluidity of identity and the extinction of originality in a world of excessive accumulation of objects and ideas. Consumed and discarded, they are reimagined and consumed again.
OR encourages people to take personal agency over their self presentation. The rebranding process dissociates garments from gendered categories and reintroduces them without arbitrary social constraints. Lacking agency over our unchangeable genetics, yet empowered by the ability to choose our limitless second skin, we can celebrate and perform our unique interiors, who we truly are at any moment.
